Gracie Jones is Piney Hills Harmony's newest member

We're so glad to welcome our newest member, lead Gracie Jones, daughter of member Michelle Jones, who joined the chorus last summer.  Hooray for another mother-daughter duo in our midst!

Chorus grieves over loss of member

We mourn the loss of one of our longtime members, Peggy Laws.  She left us unexpectedly after complications from routine back surgery.  Peggy, we'll always remember you and the beautiful music we made together.  This column was written by another of our members.

Piney Hills Harmony adds 2 members during last 2 weeks

Cat Stoppleworth (in layout above) and Sandy Donaldson (in layout below) were both welcomed into Piney Hills Harmony Chorus during the past two weeks.  Both are basses, and bass section leader and PHHC President Judy Sisson is beaming ... as are the rest of their new Singing Sisters!  Judy is to the far left in the posed pic above; to the far left in the posed pic below.  Both Cat and Sandy were introduced to the chorus by Kelli Ayres, who joined PHHC only last summer herself.  Kelli is pinning on Cat's angel pin during her sing-in (above) and hugging Sandy in the bottom left photo.  Director Sheila Nugent is also in both the posed photos, and other various PHHC members are shown hugging each new member and standing in the Circle of Love.

Candice Bassett becomes full-time dual member

VP and membership chair Carol Ogle pins on Candice Bassett's angel pin during her sing-in.  This is a tradition for each new member who joins Piney Hills Harmony.

The lead section leaders are happy, happy, happy to have Candice added to their section.  On the left, Cheryl Roach; on the right, Rebecca McNeill, who also serves as assistant director for sound and musical expression.  Director Sheila Nugent also took part in the sing-in festivities.

And it's hugs all around during the sing-in circle of love.  Here, Alanna McNeill and Mary Helen Tschabold show Candice a good old Sweet Adeline welcome.

Our "formal" 2018 competition photo

We love this informal formal pose for our 2018 contest photo.  We felt good about our performance when we finished our set and found out later that the judges did, too - we won medals for third-place small chorus and fifth place overall in Region 10.
