It's still summer, and we're still singing!

Love to sing???

If you love to sing and want to create unbelievable harmony, then come join us!

We have just completed our first Summer Singers Guest Nights and anticipate that several of our Summer Singers will soon be full-fledged members of Piney Hills Harmony.

If you'd like to join the fun, it's not too late. We're currently on a "high," having just returned from Summer Music Camp in Denton, Texas - and we'd love to share that excitement with you.

Our rehearsals start at 6 p.m. each Thursday in the fellowship hall of the Presbyterian Church of Ruston, 212 N. Bonner.

Musical knowledge not a necessity ... all you need is a good ear and a desire to create great music.

For more information, email Sheila at PHHCdirector@aol.com or call Sheila at 318.237.3331 or Carol at 318.348.2291. You can also visit our Web site at www.pineyhillsharmony.org to find a map to the rehearsal hall and other great info.

Chorus goes to Summer Music Camp; rehearsal canceled

Because many Piney Hills Harmony members will attend Summer Music Camp in Denton, Texas, this week, our rehearsal is canceled. This is an annual event that is eagerly anticipated each year.

If you're thinking about visiting one of our rehearsals, we would love to see you on Thursday, June 30, at our regularly scheduled rehearsal at 6 p.m. in the fellowship hall of the Presbyterian Church of Ruston.

Guests at 2nd night of Piney Hills Harmony's Summer Singers program

We had eight guests for the second session of our 2011 Summer Singers program. Several are veteran Sweet Adelines - some are current members from another chorus; some, chapter-at-large members; and some, former members. Plus, some of the visitors are totally new to the world of barbershop. A really good mixture! Hope to see them all return for our third and final night tomorrow.

If you're reading this and wondering whether you can attend if you missed the first two nights, the answer is a resounding "yes!" Hope to see all these attendees - and more! - back tomorrow. Details about time and place are in a post below; please scroll down.

Happy Harmony!
